Zayra Flores

Zayra Flores is passionate about helping people grow, connect, and discover their potential. Originally from Puerto Rico, she studied Public Relations, Advertising, and Journalism at University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus before spending two transformative years living in Barcelona, where she explored the worlds of advertising, social media,cool hunting, and cultural trends.

Throughout her professional career, she has served as a Communications Officer for the Governor of Puerto Rico and later expanded her work into the fields of family support and early childhood development. As a Care Coordinator for Child First in the Lake Worth and South Palm Beach region, she worked closely with families who experienced trauma, helping develop executive functioning skills and strengthening family resilience.

She also spent five years working nationwide with University of Chicago TMW Center for Early Learning + Public Health as an Implementation and Training Specialist, supporting the expansion and implementation of early learning and public health programs across the United States.

She later worked with the Florida Atlantic University Career Center as a Career Coach, where she collaborated with leadership to develop the President Internship Program for Community Impact (PIPCI), an initiative designed to connect students with paid internships in government and nonprofit organizations.

Currently, she serves as the Volunteer Engagement Manager for Path to College, where she leads mentor and volunteer engagement initiatives focused on empowering high school students and helping create pathways toward higher education, personal growth, and future success.

In 2025, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by publishing her first bilingual children’s book, “A World Called Normal”, inspired by her belief that every child deserves acceptance, understanding, and the opportunity to thrive.

She loves reading, traveling, photography, writing, and spending quality time with her family. She believes that every child is born with unique gifts, and with the right support and tools, they can succeed and positively impact the world.
