Every student has different skill sets, we can help students highlight their gifts. Students are given guidance to identify their innate talents, select the right classes, seek support when challenges arise, and dig in to opportunities for personal growth. Our 3-year curriculum is rigorous and aimed to elevate students to a competitive level so they can reach their college application and scholarship goals.

Students in our academic fellowship apply to college at 200% of the national average. Why? They are well prepared and ready. Students gain confidence in how to find the right college to fit their needs, how to stand out on applications through written personal statements, how to study effectively for entrance exams and improve scores, and how to attend college with little-to-no debt by understanding FAFSA and seeking the best scholarships.

We are committed to opening doors to innovative and on-demand opportunities. We offer unparalleled, hands-on experiences like internship placement, in-person field trips, job shadowing, industry panel discussions, and emersion in our professional network. In addition, students participate in civic engagement and local service projects.

Each motivated student is paired with an experienced and committed professional. A Mentor is someone who has gone to college themself, found success in their career, and who wants to help a student do the same. Students meet with their mentor on a weekly basis until graduation.

We have set out the following student profile guidelines:
We are looking for students to apply at the end of their 9th grade year; our program starts in 10th grade and follows the student through graduation.
We encourage ELL/ESL students to apply.
Eligibility to the program follows the PBC housing guidelines, but we will consider students whose families fall slightly above the “low-income” categories as we realize this measure can affect families much differently depending on a variety of circumstances.
Students must be eligible for free or reduced-price lunch based on household income to qualify for the Path to College Fellowship.
If you do not have access to your free and reduced-price lunch form, please apply here to confirm your eligibility.
Eligibility for free or reduced-price lunch is also used to determine whether you may qualify for fee waivers for the SAT/ACT and college applications
We accept students with interests as diverse in nature as their backgrounds.
We are looking for the students who display leadership, who really deserve this help, and who will use it to give back to their communities.
We are looking for students who are driven but lack the guidance to go through the college selection and application process.
We are seeking students who want to achieve their full potential.
Please note: if there is a student who does not have one of these components, but displays great leadership and civic responsibility, we will absolutely consider them.

Once your application has been submitted through our online application with all required documentation, we will begin the screening process. If you meet the criteria we are looking for and are eligible for an interview, we will reach out to you to schedule an interview with us.
Keep in mind, acceptances are not announced officially until August 10, 2026 for Early Decision and October 5, 2026 for Regular Decision. As an applicant, please save the date of October 16th, 2026, for the Mandatory Student Orientation (9 AM - 6 PM) and Parent Information session (after 5pm).

All materials are due by the application deadline (July 19th, 2026, for Early Decision and September 14th, 2026, for Regular Decision).
Upon submission of your application, you will receive an email from DocuSign to fill out the student's signature. Once you sign, it will also be sent to your parents/guardians. You will know your documentation has been submitted when you receive a copy of all signed paperwork.

No! The interview will be conducted virtually and will be set up so that we can best understand you as an individual.
However, there is a mandatory parent information session for parents to attend if your student gets selected for the program. Check out those dates above and register for one of the available sessions.

Our weekly fellowship meetings are held in person for 1 hour. SAT Prep happens right after for 1.5 hours.
Fellowship meetings are on Wednesdays at 4 pm located at Palm Beach State College Lake Worth campus.

Currently - yes. In addition to our 3-year fellowship we offer a College Preparedness Outreach Workshop Series. This series takes place over 4 sessions covering the admissions process, college entrance exams, the application process and financial aid. Each session is two hours in length. While our program is designed to be a three year program, we do select a handful of rising Juniors (entering the 11th grade in August 2026). We encourage all students to apply to the fellowship program and participate in an interview. Please note, rising Seniors (Graduating Class of 2027) are not eligible for the program.

As a part of the application process, Path to College asks for a completed application, signed Fellow Contract/Waivers, a high school transcript, two letters of recommendation, a copy of your free/reduced lunch eligibility letter OR your parents most recent tax return, and parent attendance at a parent information session.

As a part of the fellowship program, there is a “Mentor Match Night” that takes place after orientation where mentors and students are introduced to one another, and then staff determines the mentor-mentee pairing and will support the pair in their mentoring journey.

Path to College is completely funded via individual donors and through grants. There is no cost to students and their family.

Our weekly meetings are held in person and enrichment days or service opportunities occur 1-2 times a month.
We understand transportation is a barrier for most of our students and our programs team will work with students to find the best transportation solutions using Palm Tran, Tri-Rail, and carpool options.
If commuting is a concern, please let us know so we can work with you to devise a transportation plan. Please note: this will not impact your admission into the program.

Yes! You can expect to meet students at other schools while in our program. We want you to have the opportunity to build your social network so we try to expand your circle and provide you with opportunities to meet other driven students who also have positive ambitions for college and career.

If you are unable to commit to our signature three-year program, that is okay. Path to College offers additional opportunities to grow as a student and work toward college admission. Throughout the year Path to College partners with various organizations to offer free SAT tutoring and free college prep workshops. Path to College recommends asking a teacher or guidance counselor at your school to write a recommendation letter for you. As a part of the application process, we ask that you submit 2 letters of recommendation. Upon submission, the two teachers on your application will be emailed a form to upload their recommendation letter on your behalf. If you are applying early-decision, we suggest that you ask for an email address that your recommender will be able to access and check over the summer.
