What is speed interview night?
Ever wished when you were a high school student, you were able to practice with many people on how to interview for your first job, your first internship, or your first scholarship interview? Interviewing is one of the most intimidating experiences a student can face, often because there is a lack of preparation and limited opportunities to practice with others. This is why we created Speed Interview Night.
Speed Interview Night is one of Path to College’s most impactful, real-world learning experiences, designed to build confidence, sharpen communication skills, and prepare students to step into high-stakes opportunities with clarity and self-assurance. In the weeks leading up to the event, students develop and refine their resumes, practice their personal narratives, and learn how to present themselves with professionalism and purpose.
On the night of the event, nearly 100 community volunteers step forward to invest in a student’s future. Through a fast-paced rotation of seven-minute interviews, students engage with a diverse group of professionals, gaining exposure to different perspectives, personalities, and expectations. Each interaction is followed by immediate, thoughtful feedback, giving students the chance to reflect, adjust, and improve in real time.
By the end of the evening, students have not only practiced interviewing multiple times, they have experienced growth. They walk away more confident, more prepared, and more equipped to pursue internships, jobs, and scholarship opportunities that once felt out of reach.
Speed Interview Night is more than an event. It is a moment where preparation meets opportunity, and where a community comes together to help the next generation of leaders in Palm Beach County step forward with confidence and purpose.
Our programming is free for all students thanks to the generosity of those who choose to contribute what they can. Thank you.
