Common Course Numbering
Wyoming Community Colleges and the University of Wyoming
have created and implemented initiatives, like the common
numbering system, for the smoother articulation of courses between
the community colleges and University of Wyoming. This enhanced
articulation allows community college transfer students to
maximize the courses they take while at the community college.
Some faculty have taken steps to standardize course content
between the University of Wyoming and Wyoming community colleges
by establishing a common syllabus for certain entry level courses.
Dual Enrollment
Sinclair
Community College and University of Dayton have a generous
dual enrollment program. When community college manufacturing
technology students are accepted into the dual enrollment program,
they receive University of Dayton identification cards that give
them access to the university's library and athletic facilities.
When they actually transfer as juniors, not only are their Sinclair
credits accepted but they receive a 33 percent discount on UD's
$590 per credit tuition.
Articulation Agreement
Alabama's Articulation Program is better know as STARS
(Statewide Transfer & Articulation Reporting System). STARS is
a web-accessible database system which provides guidance and
direction for prospective transfer students in the State of
Alabama. The STARS System allows public two-year students in
Alabama to obtain a Transfer Guide/Agreement for the major of
their choice. This guide/agreement, if used correctly, guides the
student through their first two years of coursework and prevents
loss of credit hours upon transfer to the appropriate public
four-year university in Alabama. Since Fall of 1998, over 220,000
students have viewed or obtained a transfer guide through the
STARS System. Visit
